QLatinx + AIDS Walk Orlando: Twilight
Come join #TeamQLatinx at the upcoming Hope and Help AIDS Walk Orlando on Saturday, April 15th from 4-7pm at Lake Eola. This event raises funds for testing and support the sustainability of HIV/AIDS resources in the community.
There are two steps to participating: registering to walk and fundraising. Those interested in walking with QLatinx should register themselves as walkers at www.aidswalkorlando.org. There you'll select "Join A Team" and will be directed to complete the registration. Select QLatinx from the drop-down menu and complete the form accordingly.
The next step is to help fund raise!
Every amount helps! Ask friends! Ask relatives! Ask coworkers/employers! Ask neighbors! Every little amount helps! Consider asking them to enjoy one less drink a week or consider packing their lunch to save money on eating out this week. The goal is to raise as much as you can.
All funds should be raised by April 14th. You can then either deposit the monies into your accounts and pay the amount raised using the log-in you created when you registered using a debit/credit card (which is the recommended option). You can also choose to submit the monies raised in cash on the day of the race upon check in (keep in mind that there will be long lines).
If folx prefer to make their own payments directly, they can donate money themselves and should be instructed to select QLatinx as the team they are supporting, this way monies raised get credited to our team's goal.
If every person gets 5 people including themselves to donate just $10 then that's a total of $50! Get 10 people and raise $100!
Then show up at Lake EOLA on April 15th at 3:30 wearing red and be ready to walk for a good cause. It's only two quick laps around the lake follow by plenty of family-friendly activities in and throughout the park.
