Othelia is a second-generation non-binary Pilipinx American who grew up in West Palm Beach, FL. They graduated from the University of Florida studying English and Asian American Studies. After graduating, they interned at North Carolina Asian Americans Together focusing on voter registration and youth leadership development as a Seeding Change Fellow. In December, Othelia began their service with City Year Orlando where they devoted their time providing academic support to students of color. They are passionate about educational equity as well as rooting their knowledge in the history of their gender-nonconforming ancestors.
