Led by Talk Test Treat & Qlatinx, once a month various health leaders and providers in Central Florida meet at the Department of Health to discuss planning outreach efforts in the area of HIV prevention. Our Mission is to work collectively in different sectors and thus create a positive impact on the HIV epidemic that affects our Latinx community in Central Florida. Some of the organizations that were part of these efforts include Pineapple Health Care, Independent Medical Group, and Test Talk Treat Central Florida.

Among the events we have organized are community outreach events for Fiesta Latina 2021 where more than 83 people were tested and educated in exchange for a chance to win a ticket to the event. Other events that were also important in the development of the educational piece of this council were OYES, Come Out With Pride, Pride WIth Color, World Aids Day Orange & Osceola & Hola Supermarket together. At these events, dozens of people have been educated on the importance of choosing preventive methods such as PREP and opportunities to do the HIV test.
