Why I'm Voting This Election Day

Carlos Díaz of QLatinx speaking about why he's voting this election cycle.

Over these past few months, we’ve seen huge numbers of people voting early across in an election that will help determine the future of our country! Across Florida, we’ve seen the hard work of those who care about justice for our people raise their voices and go to the polls. While I know that not everyone in our community has the right and ability to vote, knowing that we march to cast our vote for our neighbors, our friends, our loved ones, our families, makes this fight for justice even more powerful–and even more necessary! I'm voting to make sure that my existence–the existence of our people–won't be erased, and to show that my voice and my vote have value. I'm Latinx, I'm queer, I'm an artist, I'm an activist. Yo soy Boricua! I'm here and those things make me special, they make me feel love and joy and demand that I fight for us all, and to make sure that our people are protected in the future and the present.

Join me this Election Day to make our voices heard and to bring the change we wish to see happen!
