QLatinx & the Acts Against Aids Initiative Announce New Partnership
It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce our new partnership with the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) Act Against Aids Initiative, a campaign seeking to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS among all Americans and works to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS transmissions among hardest hit populations.
As part of our new collaboration with the CDC, our Executive Director Christopher Cuevas, has been named the Southeastern Ambassador for the Act Against Aids Initiative and will focus their efforts in the Central Florida community. "I am truly honored and humbled to have been invited to serve alongside six incredible leaders from across the country as part of the CDC's Act Against Aids Ambassador Program." said Cuevas.
Cuevas wrote on a Facebook post, "I am thrilled to help integrate the campaigns and resources of the AAA Initiative into our Central Florida community under the umbrella of QLatinx and the CDC, and working hand-in-hand with the amazing HIV/AIDS service organizations across the region!"
Through the efforts of the QLatinx HIV Prevention and Education Initiative, our incredible team of community advocates will work to provide resources and information to communities across Central Florida and will collaborate with the inspiring service providers and agencies in the community to broaden the reach of services and care to areas across the region.
