Handling the Holiday Blues

Conversations: A Queer, Trans/GNC Safe Space: Handling the Holiday Blues Banner

On December 11th, QLatinx teamed up with the Jacksonville Transgender Action Committee and Project PHASES for a second edition of our Conversations series, a community safe space for queer transgender, and gender non-conforming individuals in the Jacksonville area. As part of this program, we bring together community advocates who are working to empower TGNC communities of color and a mental health expert to support us as we lead guided conversations about issues our communities are challenged with facing.

During the evening's instruction, we examined ways we can navigate difficult conversations, foster spaces of healing, and develop techniques for conflict management with loved ones. We also discussed ways we can foster chosen families and celebrate the holidays with our community!

Thank you to the incredible team at the Jacksonville Transgender Action Committee and Project PHASES for joining us in this powerful dialogue. A HUGE shout out to our chosen family and community that joined us this evening, and shared in the sacred circles we formed with one another.
