Last night, as part of our two-part Grassroots Organizing series, QLatinx members shared space to develop tools in order to become effective grassroots fundraisers. Our discussion touched on the importance of relationship building, diversifying a funder base, fostering a culture of giving and sharing, and building independent funding strategies.
We are thankful and honored to have had the incredible Felipe Sousa-Rodriguez, Manager of Collaborative Partnerships for the City of Orlando, share their wisdom and experience as our guest facilitator for this discussion. Their years of grassroots organizing and fundraising shaped our discussion and provided us with the resources needed to further develop this skill.
